Bedfordshire Walking Festival – Sun 8 September

Take a one-way train trip from Page's Park to Stonehenge Works and enjoy a guided walk back.

Boarding the 10.30am train from Page's Park, the walk begins at around 11am at Stonehenge Works Station. Single walker's tickets are required for the train and can be purchased here. Ticket prices are:

Adult (18-59) £5.25
Senior (age 60+) £4.50
Child (age 2 to 17) £3.25

This 6 mile (10km) linear walk is suitable for families with children aged 9 and over, and starts with a train ride along the narrow gauge railway first used 100 years ago for the transport of sand. Having gone up and over Shenley Hill the walk enters a wooded area of the Greensand Ridge before emerging into the Ouzel Valley to follow the towpath of the Grand Union Canal. The walk finishes along a short section of the former Dunstable Branch Railway to arrive back at Page’s Park about 1.30pm.

Please note, there is a possibility of boggy ground at the river valley if there has been recent rain.

Parking is free at Page's Park station. Toilets and refreshments at Page's Park Station. Toilets also available at Globe PH on route.

Dogs welcome. Bring a snack as there will be a break during the walk.
